Insurance Verification Specialist

Shriners Children's Salt Lake City has an opportunity for a Full-time Insurance Verification Specialist. The Insurance Verification Specialist is responsible for ensuring that insurance authorization, referrals and verification is completed on all patients.

Schedule Full-time 1.0 FTE (in person)

• Verifies insurance data for each visit.
• Ensures all authorizations and/or referrals are obtained in a timely manner.
• Research and apply knowledge of all insurance rules and regulations for major insurance programs.
• Correct all data errors and resubmit to billing office all unprocessed or returned claims.

Education

• 1 Year Insurance and/or pre-certification, Required
• 1 Year Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, Required
• 1 Year Medical Terminology, Required
• 1 Year Patient access experience in pediatric hospital/clinic setting, Required
