General Purpose Of The Job

The Business Analyst II is responsible for analyzing, specifying and validating the business needs of various internal customers on multiple small to medium scale projects. The incumbent communicates with stakeholders, Product Owners and defining user requirements to the development team throughout the product life cycle, as well as managing the project.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Supports business by gathering technical requirements.
  • Completes data process and system documentation.
  • Leads technical communications with Product Owners and business contacts.
  • Assists with Software Development Methodology practices including writing of user stories and acceptance criteria, documenting business processes, preparing user interface mockups, data mappings, etc.
  • Performs other work as assigned.

Education And/Or Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field of study; plus four (4) or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Previous BA Experience On Contact Center Implementation Projects Required.

Experience in the Financial services Industry (Life, Annuity, Investments) preferred.

Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

  • Knowledge of contact center concepts, typical capabilities, and needs.
  • Ability to synthesize specific requirements from general information obtained from multiple sources.
  • Ability to document requirements in a manner consumable by multiple stakeholders, from systems analysts to QA analysts to business sponsors to managers.
  • Knowledge of how to construct process flow diagrams, swimlane diagrams, and/or state machine diagrams.
  • Ability to create low-fidelity mockups in Balsamiq, Figma, or Powerpoint.
  • Effective verbal and written communication, ability to effectively present information and interact in group situations.
  • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and successfully with employees, customers, and other outside third parties.
  • Experience in JIRA or similar work management tool.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
