The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for maintaining company-wide gross profitability goals, increasing revenues, and developing and managing the entire sales team. Additionally, the VP of Sales will be responsible for establishing a strategy to protect and grow current market share as well as advance in yet untapped markets and regions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a key representative of the Executive Team in business development, traveling to build and maintain high-level national relationships while leading sales representatives in strategic meetings.
  • Oversee and guide the sales team, ensuring consistent and effective use of Salesforce, and deliver comprehensive performance reports to internal management and stakeholders.
  • Partner with the CEO to assign customer, project, and sales targets, directing the Inside Sales Team to manage incoming leads from internal sources, LinkedIn, the company website, and other channels.
  • Develop and present compelling business development strategies, feasibility studies, and tailored solutions.
  • Drive revenue growth and margin expansion by setting clear financial targets, implementing actionable strategies, and consistently exceeding budgetary goals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and client meetings to strengthen relationships and promote business expansion.
  • Provide regular updates to the CEO on business development initiatives, tracking progress and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Take full responsibility for top-line revenue and margin performance during annual budget reviews, evaluating the effectiveness of the sales team.
  • Champion safety initiatives, conducting job-site audits and actively participating in safety meetings and events.
  • Lead marketing efforts in collaboration with the CEO, overseeing the development of digital and print collateral, managing social media, and coordinating paid advertising campaigns.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, management, marketing, or a related field (required).
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years leading national or regional sales teams, preferably within the crane, construction, or transportation industries.

Physical & Travel Requirements

  • Ability to sit, stand, and use a computer or phone for extended periods.
  • Must be able to walk, bend, reach, stoop, and lift/carry up to 30 lbs. in both office and job-site settings.
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours, including weekends, with frequent travel (1–2 weeks at headquarters and 2–3 weeks in the field meeting clients and prospects).

Work Environment

  • Office setting and outdoor construction/job sites.
