Pay Range: Starting at $80,000 a year (education & experience dependent)

Status: Full Time

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5:30pm

The Systems Engineer position will oversee all aspects of the overall health and functioning of High Point Treatment Center’s systems and networks. This position will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and upgrading current hardware, systems, and IT infrastructure as well as designing, deploying, and providing documentation for new systems as the need arises, while ensuring best practices. The systems to be maintained include but are not limited to private windows servers, 3rd party and custom application hosting, on premise data storage, cloud data storage, wired and wireless networks. This position will also manage Systems Administrators, work closely and collaboratively with the IT Support Manager, Director of Health Information Systems and report to the Chief Information Officer. This position will also assist the CIO in developing and maintaining good relationships with essential 3rd party vendors and in the management of these contracts.

Systems Administrator Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license
  • Must provide own transportation and automotive insurance

Systems Administrator Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assessing the overall health of systems, determining problems, and providing solutions to issues as they arise.
  • Designing, upgrading, and maintaining all systems.
  • Researching and brainstorming possible improvements that can be made to existing systems.
  • Researching and/or identifying potential new systems to improve the overall infrastructure and security at High Point Treatment Center.
  • Keeping all systems documentation accurate and current
  • Oversee the deployment and administration of Servers, VM’s, network devices, server applications, cloud applications, systems security, Active Directory, Group Policy, OS patch management, backup and restoration services.
  • Oversee the monitoring and auditing of systems and networks.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date systems documentation.
  • Management of vendor contracts and invoicing relating to High Point’s systems and infrastructure.
  • Creating and maintaining quality control procedures to ensure systems are efficient, operational, and meet the organizations standards for efficiency.
  • Assist the CIO in developing and maintaining accurate, effective, and up-to-date IT policies and procedures.

Systems Administrator Qualifications

  • Education One of the following scenarios
    • Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years’ experience in level 3 support or higher
    • Relevant certificates with 4 years’ experience in level 3 support or higher
    • 5 years’ experience in level 3 support or higher
  • Experience in Microsoft OS management.
  • Experience in Microsoft domain management.
  • Experience in Microsoft 365 management of users, groups, email, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in account and systems auditing
  • Experience in layers 1-3 network configurations and diagnostics
  • Experience in DHCP deployment and diagnosing
  • Working knowledge of cyber security best practices
  • Working knowledge of private and public DNS management
  • Working knowledge of systems monitoring
  • Working knowledge of Virtual Server management
  • Working knowledge of Business backup solutions cloud or on-premise
  • Working knowledge Linux workstation and server OS management.
  • Project Management workflow basics
  • Knowledge in layer 7 network configurations and diagnostics
  • Solid troubleshooting foundations
  • Thorough and accurate documentation skills
