Key Responsibilities
- Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge modeling.
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
- Perform bridge inspection and load ratings.
- Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
- Prepare construction specifications.
- Work closely with other V3 disciplines on multi-faceted projects.
- Perform other duties as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from ABET Accredited university. Master’s degree with a structural focus is preferred.
- 4-8 years of bridge design, analysis, load rating, inspection experience.
- Experience in projects for clients such as IDOT, Illinois Tollway, Chicago DOT, County DOT’s and local municipalities.
- Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT and ISTHA design standards.
- Proficient in MicroStation. Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler a plus.
- Knowledge of design software (OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, STAAD).
- EIT license required. PE or SE license is a plus.
