The Office of U.S. Senator Ruben Gallego seeks an experienced, strategic, and dynamic Digital Director to lead creative design and digital communications efforts. The ideal candidate will be key in advancing the Senator’s message, legislative priorities, and public outreach through social media, stakeholder/influencer engagement, graphic design, and photography.

Location: Washington, D.C.

Salary: Competitive, commensurate with experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the branding and creative design of the Office of Senator Ruben Gallego.
  • Develops the social media outreach strategy, digital plans and designs, and executes digital media campaigns.
  • Leads the curation and development senator’s website and social media assets.
  • Analyzes web statistics and social media analytics to evolve the office’s digital efforts.
  • Captures and edits photos, videos, and audio files; designs graphics for online media; edits and distributes digital content.
  • Assists with planning and executing press events.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or advanced degree in Communications or a related field of study
  • At least 2 years of experience in social media or a related field
  • Prior internship or work experience on the Hill or on a political campaign
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite programs, graphic design, photography, and video production equipment and technology, etc.
