
Commercial Service Technician (Beverage Equipment)
SUMMARY
The Commercial Service Technician is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a wide
range of beverage equipment used in commercial establishments. This role requires expertise in
various systems, including soda fountains, espresso machines, water filtration, and more. The
technician ensures that beverage equipment operates efficiently, meets safety standards, and provides
optimal performance for clients.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSABILITIES:

Equipment Maintenance and Repair:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with beverage equipment, including Multiplex Soda factories,
automated beverage systems, and CO2 systems.
- Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and calibration to ensure equipment longevity and
optimal performance.
- Repair or replace faulty components, such as pumps, valves, filters, and electrical parts.
- Conduct preventive maintenance checks to prevent breakdowns and minimize downtime.
Installation and Setup:
- Install new beverage equipment at client locations, following manufacturer guidelines and
safety protocols.
- Set up water filtration systems, reverse osmosis systems, and water booster systems.
- Configure CO2 systems, ensuring proper gas pressure and carbonation levels.
- Assemble and calibrate espresso machines, frappe machines, orange juice machines, coffee
makers, and tea makers.
Quality Assurance:
- Test equipment functionality after installation or repair to verify proper operation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and industry best
practices.
- Conduct water quality tests for filtration systems and reverse osmosis units.
- Verify accurate syrup-to-water ratios in soda towers and frozen carbonated beverage
dispensers.
Client Interaction:• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their specific needs and address any
concerns.
- Provide technical guidance and recommendations to optimize beverage equipment
performance.
- Educate clients on proper equipment usage, cleaning procedures, and maintenance schedules.
1. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of service calls, repairs, and maintenance performed.
- Document parts used, labor hours, and any warranty information.
- Generate service reports and share findings with clients and management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in relevant fields preferred.
- Proven experience as a service technician, preferably in the foodservice or beverage industry.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of beverage equipment components, including pumps, motors, valves, and
refrigeration systems. EPA Certification.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to client sites.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (up to 50 lbs) and work in confined spaces.
- Comfortable standing, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
- Adherence to safety protocols when handling chemicals and electrical components.
