Animal Research Associate

Our prestigious client, a leading global pharmaceutical innovator, renowned for developing and producing an extensive range of groundbreaking pharmaceuticals, life-saving vaccines, and advanced animal health solutions, is seeking an Animal Research Scientist to join their dynamic and collaborative team.

Type: Contract

Location: Boston, MA

Rate: $30-35/hr

Responsibilities:

• Support preclinical discovery programs in the Boston In Vivo Quantitative Biosciences group focused on oncology drug discovery.
• Conduct cell culture and prepare in vivo samples for analysis.
• Formulate compounds and administer doses to laboratory animals.
• Report and analyze data from experiments, including ELISA or MSD-based assays.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and effective project outcomes
  
  

Qualifications:

Education: Minimum of an AS/BS/BA in Biology, Animal Science, or relevant fields.

Laboratory Experience: 3-6 years of hands-on laboratory experience, specifically with lab mice.

Technical Skills:

• Proficient in animal handling techniques, including restraint and dosing (particularly via intravenous/tail vein administration).
• Skilled in compound preparation and formulation.
• Proficiency in cell culture techniques.
• Experience performing ELISA or similar assays.
• Familiarity with data graphing software such as Excel or GraphPad PRISM is a plus.
