Job Title: Regional Director of Operations

Location: Washington DC + Baltimore Metro areas

Pay Range: $100K-$130K with bonus potential

FLSA Status: Exempt

Position Overview

Hero Practice Services in Washington DC and Baltimore is currently seeking a Regional Director of Operations to achieve financial, patient, and organizational goals by effectively leading managers within pediatric dental, vision, and orthodontic practices in your region. This position will report to the Vice President of Operations and includes up to 60% regional travel.

This position will be at-will, meaning either the employer or the employee may terminate the employment at any time, with or without cause or prior notice.

Job Responsibilities

  • Ensure practice is performing on key growth drivers, including having sufficient staff in place, effectively managing an annual budget, and meeting account financial goals including gross profit, overtime, and payroll accuracy
  • Ensure practices meet or exceed established financial targets by thoroughly understanding key financial drivers and proactively taking actions to maximize results
  • Understand, monitor, and ensure the smooth execution of practice processes, including but not limited to hiring, scheduling, training, and documentation
  • Develop and lead a regional team to implement strategies to achieve organizational goal
  • Assess employee engagement and implement plans to improve development and retention among our teammates
  • Mentor, coach, and assist all Operations Managers, sharing best practices, and maintaining regular contact with senior leadership to discuss strategic direction, outcomes, and methods for increasing value to the communities we serve 
  • Model patient-first philosophy, ensuring Hero is viewed as the leading dental, vision, and orthodontic provider within the community 
  • Develop and implement regional training programs and curriculums that assist in driving company performance, teammate development, and company compliance
  • Identify and execute business optimization opportunities across the region
  • Participate in other duties that support the mission of providing high-quality and compassionate dental, vision, and orthodontic services to underserved children

Job Qualifications  

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • At least 10 years of experience leading large teams and strategic initiatives 
  • At least five years of managing a P&L statement
  • Demonstrated management experience and growth within an organization
  • Ability to read, understand, and discern Key Performance Indicators to drive business performance 
  • Ability to influence other team members to maximize their abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
