Description

As the Treasury Asset and Liability Management Analyst, you will be to directly impacting the profitability of consolidated CFG legal entity by impacting decisions regarding the investment portfolio, the wholesale funding book and the derivatives portfolio. This role directly impacts decisions on minimizing interest rate risk and maximizing net interest margin. You will influence product pricing and volume decisions.

Primary responsibilities include

  • Modeling Software Environment: Develop modeling scenarios in accordance with the needs of the department and stakeholders. Build flexibility within the model to meet dynamic needs of the stakeholders, economic change, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analytics: Produce various analyses relevant to the model and in support of the department and stakeholder needs. Analysis should include agreed upon metrics, discussion on variances to key indices, and identify areas of risk.
  • Reporting: Create/Maintain template format for regular reporting (monthly, quarterly, and annual). Catalog source data and reporting to ensure ease of access for trend analysis and regulatory requirements.
  • Special Projects: Provide reporting/analysis on an ad hoc basis to meet department needs for specialized tasks as assigned.
  • Communication: Interact with management and stakeholders both verbally and in writing to interpret results and respond to inquiries.

Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials

  • Required Qualifications
    • 3+ Years of QRM experience
    • 5+ Years of Treasury ALM Experience
    • Strong excel skill with an eye toward building analytical efficiency
    • Self starter with demonstrated intellectual curiosity
  • Preferred Qualifications
    • SQL and/or other programming language skills
    • Experience with applications like: Hyperion Essbase, PowerBI, PowerQuery
  • Education
    • Required - bachelor’s degree, ideally in business, finance, computer science, math or statistics
    • Master's Degree preferred.
    • Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) preferred

Hours & Work Schedule

  • Hours per Week: 40
  • Work Schedule: M-F Hybrid - 3 days in office, 2 remote
