Overview
The Marketing Segment Specialist is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies targeted specifically at this segment of customers. This role involves analyzing customer data, identifying trends and insights, and working closely with cross-functional teams to create targeted campaigns that drive engagement and retention among rated & under-performing playersThis list of duties and responsibilities is illustrative only of the tasks performed by this position and is not all-inclusive. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age.
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, plus five (5) years of marketing and promotion experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, or related field preferred.
- Experience in segmentation and targeting strategies preferred.
- Casino gaming and/or hospitality experience preferred.
- Required to pass a pre-employment drug screening and obtain and maintain an Osage Nation gaming license.
- Required to provide documents to show the applicant is eligible to work in the United States.
- Osage, Native American, and Veteran preference shall apply to all positions at Osage Casinos.

Responsibilities
SUPERVISION RESPONSIBILITIES:- None
- Makes efforts to keep informed of company information and communications by reviewing property bulletin boards, digital signage, and company newsletter.
- Effectively communicates concerns and information to supervisor and listens to communication from supervisor.
- Effectively relates ideas for improvements to supervisor and management in accordance with chain of command.
- Observes and reports all unsafe behavior displayed by internal and external guests.
- Conduct thorough market database, financial assessments, and research to identify new, unrated and competitor patrons.
- Analyze competitor strategies and positioning focused on these segments.
- Develop marketing strategies and tactics to target, attract, and retain customers within the target segments.
- Create compelling marketing campaigns tailored to the unique needs and preferences of the target market segments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on segment-specific initiatives.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics to optimize results and achievement of key objectives.
- Stay informed of market trends and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Earn patron loyalty and repeat visitation.
- Drive brand awareness and customer acquisition within these target market segments.
- Measure and report on the productivity of marketing initiatives within new segments.
- Actively participate as team member in Marketing Management Process.
- Develop and structure programming to create health of database and future revenue growth.
- Lead proforma development to augment planning, evaluation, and effectiveness assessments.
- Integrate property cross-marketing components and tactics into core strategies and programming.
- Identify and plan participation in key sponsorship and community events.
- Contribute to and approve creative development.
- Provide guidance to marketing team for internal marketing messaging.
- Have input to the acquisition of operating supplies and materials.
- Monitor, initiate, and support program execution.
- Contribute key data for formulation of post-forma evaluations.
- Review and approve historical disposition and action plan.
- Identify marketing communication channels to be deployed for each marketing program.
- Create cost-out promotional program value propositions, incentives, and awards.
- Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.
- Provides excellent internal and external guest services, always treating internal and external guests with courtesy and consideration.
- Cooperates and communicates with all fellow employees, always exhibiting mutual respect and consistently projecting a positive, helpful image/attitude.
Qualifications
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:- Read, write, speak, and understand the English language. Read Company or departmental reports, newsletters, and documents.
- Perform basic mathematical computations (add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.)
- Protect the Company’s value by keeping information confidential.
- Perform assigned tasks under limited supervision. Follow written and verbal instructions.
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with managerial staff, co-workers, guests, and the public. Work well alone or within a team.
- Communicate information and suggestions in oral and written form. Prepare written documents and complete reports as required.

- Maintains excellent working relationships with other Company staff and all applicable regulatory commissions and other agencies as may be applicable to ensure compliance.
- Performs all duties in accordance with company core values, objectives of the Osage Nation, internal policies and procedures, as well, as applicable laws and gaming regulations, including but not limited to, the state-tribal compact, IGRA, MICS, ONGR, the Bank Secrecy Act, Office of Foreign Asset Control, USA Patriot Act and Privacy Act.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Work is typically performed within an Office and Casino setting.
- Exposure to second-hand smoke.
- Evening and weekend shifts, extended hours, and irregular shifts may be required. Ability to work nights and weekends required.
- Noise level in the work environment is moderate to high.
- The employee is regularly exposed to risks associated with travel between properties and back and forth to other areas as may be required due to business demands.
- The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult people.
