Marketing And Financial Steward

Angel Studios

Date: 4 days ago
City: Provo, Utah
Salary: $85,000 - $120,000 per year
Contract type: Full time
Summary/Objective:

We’re on the hunt for a Marketing and Financial Steward, or incredibly detailed project manager with marketing and finance skills who isn’t afraid to call the shots, ask the hard questions, and push people to do better—all with a winning smile. You’ll bring financial rigor, marketing savvy, and a bit of friendly fire to the table.

This isn’t a quiet-back-office kind of role. We need someone who will get in the mix, challenge assumptions, scrutinize the numbers, and still be the most likable person in the room. You’ll be the bridge between our dollars and our dreams—helping us spend wisely, invest boldly, and scale responsibly.

Expectations of Leaders at Angel Studios:

  • Amplify light in every action
  • As the owner of your outcomes, you are empowered to break down silos and coordinate with any and all people you need in order to reach your goals.
  • You are ultimately responsible for achieving the outcomes while also using resources wisely - whether that be money, people, or time
  • Know your customer - it might be our viewers, investors, creators, or internal Angel Teams. Ensure you understand your customer and are providing what THEY need and not just what you want to build.

What You’ll Actually Do:

  • Finance & Operations
  • Own the project based accounting function across departments and films/projects—full-stop. You’ll lead the marketing budget and spend, including audits and compliance with a sharp eye.
  • Build bulletproof financial protocols that keep the chaos of creative production thriving but in financial.
  • Report and advise on financial performance, cost controls, and strategic resource allocation
  • Partner with the CFO, and CMO to forecast, budget, and plan for big, beautiful, disruptive things
  • Marketing Strategy & SpendBe the friendly skeptic in the room when marketing talks about budgets, funnels, or “we just need a little more spend.”
  • Analyze and optimize and channel efficiency—you get marketing and aren’t afraid to say “that’s not adding up.”
  • Help marketing test bravely and scale wisely—bringing data and dollars into the creative conversation
  • Translate financial constraints into fuel for smarter, sharper campaigns

Your Superpowers:

  • Experience: Marketing, project management and budgetary background in proven success roles, ideally in fast-moving, media, tech, or startup environments
  • Hybrid Mindset: You speak fluent performance marketing. You’re equally comfortable in a P&L and budget mindedness
  • Force of Nature: You don’t shy away from direct conversations or tough decisions—and people respect you more for it
  • Connector: You bring clarity, not complexity. You can walk into a room of creatives or marketers and make numbers make sense
  • Systems Fluent: NetSuite, Google Analytics, attribution tools—you know your way around the modern finance stack

Nice to Haves

  • Hands-on experience in entertainment, production finance, or crowdfunding models
  • CRM, cohort, or digital ad analytics chops
  • A love for storytelling, a bias for action, and a touch of humor

Why You'll Love This:

  • A mission that matters—stories that Amplify Light
  • A seat at the table with executive leadership and major creators
  • The freedom to challenge the status quo—and the support to do something about it
  • Competitive salary + meaningful equity + full benefits
  • You’ll win in this role if you bring heat—but with heart. If you can push for accountability without creating friction, deliver tough truths with kindness, and make a room smarter by being in it… we can’t wait to meet you
