You will support General Accounting focusing on Operations, perform reconciliations and roll-forwards, and provide management with related analyses and establish expertise in selected areas. You'll work on a lot of general accounting liabilities that appear on the balance sheet include accounts payable, payroll due, payroll taxes, accrued expenses, short-term notes payable, income taxes, interest payable, accrued interest, utilities, rental fees, and other short-term debts. Opportunities will arise for special projects that drive efficiency and consistency across the business.

This individual will work with others within the corporate accounting department as well as with employees from multiple other departments, including branches (operations management and ware house teams ), financial IT systems, financial planning and analysis, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and internal audit.

Responsibilities

You will:

• Maintain, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts and supporting documentation.
• Prepare timely and accurate month-end accounting close and associated tasks.
• Assist in preparing internal management review packages and effectively communicate risks and results.
• Seek opportunities to streamline and improve accounting transactions and work with the business to provide accounting and analytical support to meet internal needs.
• Assist with external audit deliverables, technical accounting, and other ad hoc accounting projects.
• Assist with the finance integration of new acquisitions, including process implementation, alignment, and monitoring.
• Liabilities Accounting that appear on the balance sheet include accounts payable, payroll due, payroll taxes, accrued expenses, short-term notes payable, income taxes, interest payable, accrued interest, utilities, rental fees, and other short-term debts.
  
  

Qualifications

You have:

• 3 to 4 + years of Operations Accounting experience.
• Must have experience with operations accounting experience with a multi-location Distribution or Manufacturing company.
• Experience with liabilities accounting
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
• Experience with inventory accounting is a big plus.
• Revenue or Sales Reconciliation experience is a big plus
• Experience with Accrued liabilities or Accrued purchases is a big plus
