About The Position
Citizens First Bank is seeking a Deposit Operations Specialist to join our Deposit Operations department! As a Deposit Operations Specialist, you will have various responsibilities and interact directly with our internal customers. Your main tasks will include balancing and reconciling daily reports, processing ACH and wire transactions, maintaining and supporting IRAs, conducting research, and fulfilling essential functions that enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the Deposit Operations team.

Key Responsibilities Of The Deposit Operations Specialist
- Represent Citizens First Bank by delivering exceptional customer service in an efficient and respectful manner
- Process non-sufficient funds (NSF) items and ensure that point-of-sale (POS) transactions and checks cashed in the branch are not returned
- Handle returned deposited items
- Verify checks for the signature of the issuer, endorsement, or duplicate status
- Process unposted items by utilizing the special instruction listing
- Manage ACH exceptions and chargebacks
- Execute incoming and outgoing wire transfers using EasyWire, FedLine, and PNC applications
Minimum :
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be able to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing with
- internal and external customers as well as fellow employees. Must have proper telephone etiquette.
- Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form and be able to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
- Must have the ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. The ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedures manuals and to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.
- Must have computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel), proficient in keyboarding and use of a calculator and possess good general math and letter composition skills. Must be able to explain rate, percent, balances and fees on statements
