Salary Range : $113,500- $117,500/year - based on experience, and other factors

Reports to : Chief Executive Officer (Matrixed to vCIO)

Summary

Wesley Willows seeks a dynamic Director of Information Technology to lead the strategic and operational management of our technology ecosystem across our multi-site senior living environments. This role is responsible for overseeing all IT functions, including infrastructure, cybersecurity, enterprise systems, support services, and future innovation initiatives.

The IT Director will ensure that technology aligns with Wesley Willows’ mission of providing exceptional service to staff and residents while positioning the organization for continued growth and operational excellence. Experience in healthcare, senior living, or highly regulated industries is preferred but not required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Leadership

  • Develop and execute a strategic IT vision aligned with Wesley Willows’ organizational goals and growth plans.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing technology guidance, thought leadership, and risk management expertise.
  • Evaluate and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance resident experience, operational efficiencies, and organizational capabilities.

Operational Management

  • Oversee comprehensive IT operations, ensuring high system availability, reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the internal IT team, third-party vendors, and contractors, promoting professional growth and excellence.
  • Manage IT budgets, procurement, asset management, and vendor relationships, emphasizing cost efficiency and quality service.

Infrastructure and Systems Oversight

  • Ensure robust management of network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, telephony, data communications, and endpoint devices.
  • Oversee enterprise applications, including electronic health records (EHR), resident care management systems, CRM, finance, HR, and other core systems.
  • Coordinate technology infrastructure integrations for new construction, renovations, and service expansions.

Cybersecurity and Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain cybersecurity policies in alignment with best practices (NIST, HIPAA).
  • Lead and manage incident response strategies, disaster recovery, data protection, and business continuity plans.
  • Ensure compliance through regular audits, updates, and adherence to all relevant regulatory and accreditation standards.

User Support and Service Delivery

  • Champion a proactive, customer service-oriented IT culture emphasizing efficient, responsive support.
  • Oversee the Help Desk, technical support, and service delivery functions, implementing industry-standard best practices and performance metrics for continual improvement.
  • Monitor system performance, user satisfaction, and maintain minimal downtime through effective issue resolution

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of progressive IT leadership experience, including managing IT teams.
  • Experience with enterprise network, server, cybersecurity, and system architecture management.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of successful system implementations and upgrades.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Preferred

  • Experience in healthcare, senior living, or highly regulated industries (e.g., HIPAA-covered entities).
  • Experience with EHR systems, Microsoft 365, CRM platforms, and cybersecurity frameworks.
  • Master’s degree (MBA, MIS) or relevant certifications (CISM, CISSP, PMP, etc.).

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to sit for extended periods : Must be able to sit for 3-5 hours during an 8-hour shift.
  • Manual dexterity : Must be able to use wrists, fingers, and hands for operating a computer, utilizing a telephone, writing and grasping.
  • Vision : Must have the ability to read and use computers/screens for extended periods, requiring good vision or vision correction.
  • Occasional lifting : Must be able to frequently lift 10 to 25 pounds while walking or bending at the waist and knees. Must occasionally be able to lift 25 to 50 pounds while walking or bending at the waist and knees.
  • Work in a standard office environment : The position is typically based in an office setting, with typical office conditions such as lighting, temperature, and noise.
