The Claims Clerk is responsible for providing expertise or general claims support to teams.
This position is full time (40 hours / week), Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities
- Set Up New Claims daily from Clients
- Handle Ky Phone Queue
- Participate in Phone Rotation for other Offices
- Processing (includes indexing and distributing daily mail)
- Processing Denied Invoices tasked by Adjusters
- Accessing Faxes and distributing
- Preparing Eligibility Letters for specific Claims
- Preparing Check Pull List weekly
- Preparing and Issuing Auto Pay Report twice a week to Adjusters
- Preparation of “Q” letters
- Providing Back Up to Other Offices as Needed
- All Other Duties as Assigned
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience
- Must be 18 years of age OR older
- 1+ years of experience in an office setting environment using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform job duties
- 1+ years of data entry experience
- Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, which includes the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
- Ability to work any of our full time (40 hours / week), 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
- Knowledge of ICD10
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
