Lilly’s employee benefits team is responsible for the strategic design and delivery of employee benefit programs and services. We actively engage in the external marketplace to ensure we are bringing innovative thought leadership to the benefits we design and deliver and the experience we create for our employees, retirees and families. We coordinate with multiple stakeholders internally including treasury, accounting, legal, privacy, and our technology partners. Externally, we manage relationships with service providers, actuaries, legal counsel, accounting firms, consulting partners, and regulatory agencies as applicable. Position Responsibilities
We are seeking an individual that will serve as the data, reporting, and financial operations analyst for the administration of Lilly’s U.S. health and welfare benefits.
Key deliverables of the position include: Providing technical and financial support for the various company health and welfare benefit offerings; managing Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Arrangement (FSA) processes; ensuring accurate and compliant payments for the health and welfare plans; monitoring and reconciling key financial accounts; ensuring appropriate employee benefit deductions, providing accurate and timely health plan expense reporting including supporting financial audits of the benefits plans; supporting benefits projects and related technical activities.
Key Deliverables / Objectives
1. Serve as the financial and reporting subject matter expert for the health and welfare team. Leverage technologies including Workday, SAP, vendor systems, and Excel to compile and assess data.
2. Provide oversight for the FSA, commuter, and HSA activities. Ensure account activity is appropriately managed and tracked. Partner with the respective vendors to streamline activity and provide support to Lilly employees who experience issues.
3. Partner with Lilly Purchase to Pay organization to ensure that vendor payments to key benefits partners are made on time and in compliance with contractual terms. Payments will be accurately tracked and recorded to the appropriate accounts to ensure Lilly accounting requirements are satisfied.
4. Prepare monthly and ad hoc journal vouchers in support of health plan activities and reconcile associated financial accounts.
5. Maintain a strong relationship with the Lilly Payroll organization and ensure that employee deductions are appropriately calculated and recorded. Leverage financial expertise to react and respond to unusual situations that occur.
6. Serve as a primary contact for internal or external compliance audit requests related to the health and welfare plan financials. Periodically conduct data reviews and address concerns as appropriate.
7. Support standard monthly reporting needs as well as ad hoc information requests using internally developed reporting tools and external vendor databases. Proactively modify tools and account structure as new services, vendors, or company legal arrangements change.
8. Participate in projects, as applicable. Projects may include initiatives driven by fiduciary needs, compliance changes, M&A activities, corporate and HR objectives, and desired employee experience enhancements.
Basic Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location. The anticipated wage for this position is
$57,750 - $129,800Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
