The Load Builder is primarily responsible for loading and unloading deliveries in the yard and assisting customers in the yard as needed.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Stage loads for delivery or will call (accurately pull correct products from picking ticket).
- Load and unload trucks as needed.
- Operate a forklift in a safe and proper manner, according to company procedures/protocols.
- Follow all safety procedures, ensuring all staff adhere to them as well.
- Put away products in proper bin locations.
- Help customers in the yard as needed.
- Work well with others.
- Build lumber packs in a timely and accurate manner.
- Ability to analyze technical problems, determine root causes and develop remediation strategies for permanent resolutions.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Available for occasional overtime.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
- Ability to perform basic math skills.
- Ability to follow directions and take initiative.
