Brief Description

As a detail-oriented and collaborative Data Management Specialist, you will join our centralized Data Ingestion Team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing, transforming, and validating large-scale marketing and fundraising data sets for use in analytics, reporting, and campaign execution. You will work with our modern ingestion platform, BettrData, to manage ETL processes, support pipeline development, and ensure data is accurate and reliable. While prior experience with BettrData is not required, familiarity with ETL tools and structured data is essential. This role plays a critical part in advancing the mission-driven work of our clients by enabling high-quality, timely data delivery that powers strategic decisions.

This role is based in Peabody, MA with a hybrid schedule. Remote candidates will also be considered.

Your Impact:

  • Ingest and transform contact and transactional fundraising data using ETL tools (e.g. BettrData, Alteryx, Azure Data Factory).
  • Ensure data is properly formatted and validated for use in analytics, segmentation, and predictive modeling.
  • Execute and document data quality checks and job-level QC to ensure data integrity and on-time delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional internal teams and client stakeholders to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
  • Maintain clear documentation of workflows, and contribute to ongoing process improvements and team knowledge sharing.


Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in data analytics, information systems, or a related field.
  • Experience working with structured data in a fundraising, marketing, or CRM environment.
  • Proficient in SQL and experience with ETL tools (such as BettrData, Alteryx, SSIS).
  • Familiar with cloud database platforms (ex: Snowflake, Azure SQL) and data integration workflows.
  • Understanding of direct response fundraising or marketing data is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
  • Experience with JIRA, GitHub, and data QA practices is a plus.
