Description

Position Summary:

Under the direction of the Continuous Improvement Manager, the Project Manager is responsible to manage organizational projects and initiatives. The Project Manager will also play in integral part in prioritizing, managing, and implementing small, medium, and large-scale process improvement initiatives by supporting the analysis of current practices and development of process improvements, as well as, implementing changes in workflows to ensure continuous organizational performance.

Work Relationships And Scope

General direction is provided by the Performance Excellence Director. Daily work is performed independently. This role currently has no direct reports but is expected to build out a team as CI efforts progress. Decisions within areas of responsibility are made independently. Supervisory assistance is available for guidance on an “as-needed” basis or when unique or unusual situations/problems occur. There is significant interaction with leadership and employees. Some interaction with state officials, area legislators, local officials and community leaders may also be involved.

Working Conditions

Work is performed remotely, or in an office environment, with minimal chance for personal injury. Responds to various operational, community, customer or employee situations and fulfills multiple priorities within established deadlines. Work hours are generally during normal business hours.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field, or equivalent combination of formal education and experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years’ experience facilitating and implementing continuous improvement principles and models, process optimization, or project management.
  • Project Management or Continuous Improvement methodology certification preferred.
  • A strategic and analytical mindset.
  • Previous supervisory experience desired.
  • Ability to work independently, and with confidential and sensitive information.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize tasks required.
  • A thorough understanding of the latest process enhancement strategies.
  • Current WI driver’s license, acceptable driving record and proof of adequate insurance required.
  • Experience in applying Baldrige Performance Excellence framework helpful.
