Cybersecurity Engineer

Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Engineer to protect our digital assets and infrastructure. This role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems, identifying and mitigating vulnerabilities, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks, and information.
• Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and threat modeling.
• Respond to and investigate cybersecurity incidents, coordinating containment and remediation efforts.
• Design and maintain secure architecture for applications, cloud services, and on-premises systems.
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to ensure secure deployment of new technologies and updates.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of cybersecurity trends, threats, and technology solutions.
• Create and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
• Support compliance efforts related to standards such as ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, or GDPR.
• Provide security awareness training and guidance to internal teams.
  
  
  

Qualifications:

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience in cybersecurity or information security roles.
• Proficiency in tools such as SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls, and endpoint protection.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and cloud security best practices.
• Strong understanding of network security, application security, and secure coding practices.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  
  
  

Preferred:

• Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or OSCP.
• Experience with automation/scripting (e.g., Python, PowerShell).
• Knowledge of DevSecOps principles and CI/CD security integration.
