BONE DENSITY TECH II - HHC SC IMAGING CTR

Salary Range: $26.0400 - $40.2900 /hour. Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education.

The Bone Density Tech provides direct patient care by performing bone density scans and reviews scans for content and quality. This position is also responsible for ensuring the scan equipment is functioning properly. In addition, the Bone Density Tech performs various administrative responsibilities for the department, including answering phones, scheduling appointments, obtaining prior authorizations, and filing and photocopying. Performs other duties as assigned. Maintains knowledge of technology, tools, equipment and other devices in work area. Demonstrates competence in technology skills required for the role, as well as ability to learn and master new skills. For clinical positions this includes equipment and devices pertinent to treatment, procedures and practice.

Education & Experience

• Successful completion of an on the job or formal education/training program in bone densitometry
  
  

License Required

• Limited License as a Bone Densitometry Technician issued by the State of California, Radiologic Health Branch
