Responsibilities
Operational Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement scalable operational strategies to support business growth and efficiency.
- Optimize supply chain, distribution, and logistics to ensure on-time deliveries and cost-effective inventory management.
- Drive process improvements, automation, and technology adoption to enhance operational performance.
- Lead initiatives to improve customer fulfillment, warehouse efficiency, and last-mile delivery.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of warehouse locations and our fleet of vehicles (Transfer trucks, delivery vans, etc.).
- Ensure that all locations meet performance, safety, and customer service standards.
- Develop and manage budgets, cost controls, and operational KPIs to maximize profitability.
- Implement data-driven decision-making to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
- Lead cost-saving initiatives in inventory management and logistics
- Conduct thorough market research to identify potential real estate opportunities that align with the company's expansion strategy.
- Negotiate lease terms, purchase agreements, and other contractual details with property owners, landlords, and brokers.
- Perform financial analysis and feasibility studies to assess the viability and profitability of potential sites.
- Oversee current store and warehouse maintenance and lease agreements.
- Build a high-performance culture focused on efficiency, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Work cross-functionally with finance, HR, IT, and marketing to align operational goals with company objectives.
- Develop risk management strategies to mitigate supply chain disruptions and operational bottlenecks.
- Work is performed while sitting/standing and interfacing with a personal computer.
- Requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision, and hearing.
- Requires the regular use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations.
- Requires occasional bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, and reaching.
- Requires the ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull medium weights, up to 50lbs.
- Access to a reliable and secure high-speed internet connection. Cable or fiber internet connections (at least 75mbps download/10mbps upload) are preferred, as satellite connections often cannot support the technologies used to perform day-to-day tasks.
- Access to a home router and modem.
- A dedicated home office space that is noise- and distraction-free. The space should have strong wireless connection or a wired Ethernet connection (wired connection is preferred, if possible).
- A valid, physical address (apartment, suite, etc.). PO Boxes are not supported, as a physical address is required for you to receive your computer equipment.
- The desire and ability to work and communicate with other team members via chat, webcam, etc.
- Legal residents of one of the following states: (AK, AL, AR, AZ, CT, DE, FL, GA, IA, ID, IN, KS, KY, LA, MD, ME, MI, MN, MO, MS, NC, ND, NH, NJ, NM, NV, OH, OK, PA, SC, SD, TN, TX, UT, VA, VT, WI, WV, or WY). H-1B Visa Sponsorship Not Available, W2 only.
- Minimum of five years in a senior supply chain role.
- Candidates will be evaluated based on a combination of education and relevant experience, with no specific education requirement.
- Strong understanding of data, numbers, and supply chain metrics
- Skilled at finding savings and improving efficiency
- Proven track record of leading supply chain operations at a retailer, with visible, measurable results
- Experience in identifying market opportunities, negotiating lease terms, and overseeing store and warehouse operations
- Ability to work effectively across various teams to align operational goals, streamline processes, and drive successful implementation across the organization
