Sets up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computer
numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate
metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following Duties and
Responsibilities as described below.\

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.\

quality. Recommend and implement process improvements/efficiencies based
on department objectives.\

- Job Summary:**\
Sets up and operate conventional, special purpose, and computer
numerical control (CNC) machines and machining centers to fabricate
metallic and nonmetallic parts by performing the following Duties and
Responsibilities as described below.\

- Supervisory Responsibility:**\
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.\
\
Duties And Responsibilities
- Work safely
- Review blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or
workpiece, sequence of operations, and set up requirements.
- Measures, dimensions and reference points on material or workpiece
- Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, cutting tools,
lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.
- Daily calculates and sets controls to regulate machining factors
enters commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine
control media.
- Daily starts and observes machine operation to detect malfunctions
control media as required.
- Daily verifies conformance of finished workpiece to specifications.
- Communicates with supervisor to resolve machine or assembly
- Daily organizes time independently to complete jobs in an efficient
- Daily completes reports on the job and record necessary data on the
- Daily inspects own work as well as others when instructed to do so.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Must have mechanical aptitude to use machining equipment and
