Location- 2/3 days in Hackensack, NJ

Compensation Range- 230K-260K- Depending On Experience

The Vice President of Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s strategic direction and driving sustainable growth. This role is responsible for All of Sales Planning, Sales Operations, National Category Management, Shopper Marketing and a strong link to RGM function. There are 5 direct reports and 8 indirect reports. The VP will also own shopper marketing budgets ($20 mil) and strategies as well as the Sales operational budget( $11 mil).

Additionally, the VP will develop and execute trade strategies across all product categories within the U.S., working collaboratively with Field Senior Vice Presidents (SVPs) to identify key opportunities and implement strategic initiatives that close gaps and drive business objectives forward. Acting as a critical link between the field and the marketing function, this role will be instrumental in ensuring the successful execution of the business plan while contributing significantly to the company’s five-year strategic vision.

The ideal candidate must possess a strong understanding of how key business decisions impact the Profit and Loss (P&L) statement and be highly skilled in leveraging financial levers to drive profitability and operational efficiency. Exceptional communication and negotiation skills are essential, as the VP will need to influence colleagues and stakeholders who do not report directly to them. As a leader of people, this individual must foster a high-performance culture, bringing a positive and energetic attitude to motivate and develop teams. The ability to navigate complex business environments, think strategically, and execute effectively will be critical to success in this role.

This individual will be responsible for managing the monthly and annual Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process, setting ambitious Net Sales Value (NSV) and investment targets by customer and channel, and ensuring consistency across channels while capitalizing on emerging growth opportunities through a $280 mil trade budget driving over $1 bil in Net sales.

Specific Qualifications Required

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 15 years of experience in senior-level sales and business development roles within the CPG industry.
