The Supply Chain Manager oversees the processes for planning, scheduling, purchasing, and
shipping/receiving while also working to develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain process that is sustainable for growth.
- Manage and support the departments to procure materials, schedule sub-assemblies, final assemblies, outside manufacturing services, and to receive and ship deliveries.
- Identify, recommend, and implement short and mid-term improvements to current processes and reporting.
- Build relationships within the company and with external parties, including suppliers.
- Implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy.
- Optimize procurement and inventory strategy to effectively align with the current sales and operations plans.
- Develop and implement an integrated planning and scheduling approach that optimizes capacity and improves on-time metrics.
- Analyze historical data and market trends to forecast future demand.
Education – Experience
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field) or equivalent.
- 8 years of progressive experience in Planning with a strong background in Production Control, Warehousing, and Materials Management in a manufacturing environment.
- 3 years of Management experience.· MRP/ERP systems experience.
- ASCM/APICS certification a plus.
Required Skills, Competencies, Authorities and Training Needs:
Excellent organizational, analytical, decision-making, problem-solving, and communication skills. Able to manipulate database data in spreadsheets using advanced Excel concepts.
