Description

Eliada Homes is growing—and our mission matters more than ever!

For over 120 years, we’ve been a trusted nonprofit in Western North Carolina, serving children and families on our beautiful 300-acre campus in West Asheville. Through a continuum of care—including residential treatment, foster care, early learning, and behavioral health services—we empower youth to lead healthy, successful lives.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Major and Corporate Gifts Officer to lead and grow our corporate and major donor fundraising efforts. This role is responsible for cultivating and managing relationships with corporate partners and high-capacity individual donors to secure significant financial support for Eliada’s mission. The ideal candidate will bring a strategic mindset, exceptional relationship-building skills, and a deep understanding of the philanthropic landscape in Western North Carolina.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, cultivate, and steward relationships with corporate donors and major gift prospects, with a strong focus on the Western North Carolina region.
  • Develop customized proposals, presentations, and sponsorship packages that align donor interests with Eliada’s mission and programs.
  • Manage a portfolio of corporate and major donors, ensuring consistent and meaningful engagement to deepen relationships and increase giving.
  • Collaborate with the development and communications teams to create compelling donor materials and storytelling assets that highlight Eliada’s impact.
  • Plan and participate in donor cultivation events, site visits, and community engagement opportunities across the region.
  • Maintain accurate records of donor interactions, pledges, and contributions using fundraising CRM tools.
  • Monitor trends in corporate philanthropy and major giving to inform strategy and identify new opportunities.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for Eliada in the business and philanthropic communities of Western North Carolina.

Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Have a passion for Eliada’s mission and a commitment to advancing the well-being of children and families.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nonprofit Management, Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in fundraising, corporate relations, or business development, preferably in a nonprofit setting.
  • Demonstrated success in securing major gifts and corporate sponsorships.
  • Strong knowledge of the Western North Carolina fundraising and philanthropic community is highly preferred.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in donor management systems and CRM platforms.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.
