Position Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Project Management Assistant (PMA) to support our project management team in the successful execution of projects. This role is ideal for someone with the skill set of a Project Manager who prefers to stay in a supportive or technical role, rather than leading full projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, engineering, or technical project environments and a strong understanding of project lifecycles, documentation, and team coordination.

This role is ideal for someone with the skill set of a Project Manager who prefers to stay in a supportive or technical role, rather than leading full projects. The ideal candidate will have a background in construction, engineering, or technical project environments and a strong understanding of project lifecycles, documentation, and team coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist Project Managers with planning, scheduling, and coordinating day-to-day project activities.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including schedules, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reports.
- Track project milestones, budgets, and deliverables, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Serve as a key communication link between stakeholders, clients, contractors, and internal teams.
- Support site visits, inspections, and coordination with vendors or subcontractors as needed.
- Help with resource allocation and task prioritization within active projects.
- Participate in team meetings, taking detailed notes and ensuring follow-ups are executed.
- Identify and resolve minor issues proactively, escalating larger concerns to the PM.
- Provide technical or engineering input where applicable to support decision-making.
- 5+ years of experience in project coordination, project engineering, or PM support roles.
- Strong familiarity with construction, manufacturing, engineering, or similar project-based industries.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, Smartsheet, or similar).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Comfortable with data analysis, reporting, and technical documentation.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Has the experience and ability to function as a Project Manager but chooses to contribute in a supporting or technical capacity.
- Enjoys being hands-on with details, documentation, and coordination.
- Thrives in a team environment and enjoys facilitating project success behind the scenes.
- Brings critical thinking and problem-solving skills without needing to take the lead role.
