The Job Details

This role is structured as a CO-OP with potential to convert into a full-time, entry-level engineering position upon graduation; based on performance and business needs. It's a great opportunity for someone who is wrapping up their academic program or recently graduated and looking to gain hands-on experience while exploring a long-term career with USCS.

In this position you will assist the Sustainable Engineering Department in multiple ongoing projects including both engineering and sustainability. Through these exercises, you will gain hands-on experience and exposure to various functional areas of the department: engineering/construction, sustainability, and automation.

Responsibilities

  • Ascertain volumetric data for existing facilities to support Head Office KPI assessments.
  • Review and restructure construction drawings.
  • Support sustainability initiatives, including baseline water usage and recharge calculations.
  • Assist with the organization and restructuring of critical departmental documents.

The Job Specifics

  • Location, Department and Work Hours: Camden, Engineering, in office or Hybrid.
  • Reports To: Director of Sustainable Engineering
  • Travel Amount: None
  • Hourly, Biweekly Paid
  • Hourly Rate: $20/hr.

Education

  • High school diploma required.
  • Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an accredited college/university with a focus in engineering. Junior/Senior students and recent grads are encouraged to apply.

  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Detail-oriented, ensuring accuracy in data entry and file management.
  • Tech-savvy, with basic experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), AutoCAD, and Bluebeam/PDF Pro.
  • Reliable and able to handle sensitive information with professionalism.
  • Self-motivated, with a willingness to learn about Engineering Processes.
  • Team-oriented, working collaboratively with different departments.
