Job Summary:

The Internal Inventory Auditor is responsible for monitoring, investigating, and auditing inventory accuracy across Hollywood Feed retail locations and the distribution center. This role plays a critical part in supporting operational integrity and customer satisfaction by ensuring inventory records are accurate, especially given the significance of e-commerce sales, which represent 20% of the company’s business. This position requires a high degree of analytical thinking, independence, and cross-functional collaboration with store, DC, and IT teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Audit store-level inventory data and identify inconsistencies to prevent shrink and inventory loss.
• Monitor "in-transit" orders daily; follow up on delayed receipts and correct premature inventory entries.
• Investigate missing or misdirected pallets using system data and surveillance footage.
• Track and analyze all inventory adjustments submitted by retail teams.
• Collaborate with distribution center staff to resolve labeling or shipping errors.
• Generate regular reports on audit findings, discrepancies, and trends to leadership.
• Support special investigations or inventory-related projects as assigned.
• Communicate effectively with retail and warehouse staff to ensure timely and accurate resolutions.
• All other duties as assigned.

Requirements Skills & Qualifications:

• The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years’ work experience in inventory-related activities.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Extensive knowledge of general financial accounting and reporting.
• Extensive knowledge of information systems security.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
• Extremely proficient with accounting software.
