Where you fit in
The Kinder - 2nd Grade Coordinator will lead out the vision for grade K-2 ministries at all campuses. They will work diligently to develop and foster a culture and environment of genuine community that embraces family and encourages kids to connect with Jesus. This position is perfect for an outgoing individual, whom God has gifted with a heart for leading and developing volunteer teams, exemplary communication skills and outstanding organizational and planning abilities. They will strive to use their gifts to create fun, safe programs that have a lasting impact on the lives of kids and their relationship with Jesus.
What you’ll be doing
Grade K-2 Coordinator
- Build, recruit, and develop adult and student volunteers in collaboration with Next Gen leadership to serve as Small Group Leaders, Service Coordinators and Greeters for various environments
- Own the grade K-2 volunteer placement process and ongoing maintenance of Small Group kids and leaders, including kid/leader ratios
- Work with the Next Gen team to recruit volunteers to serve as tech team members, hosts, teachers and other positions as needed
- Update weekly volunteer schedules and email Planning Center every week
- Equip and train leaders with tools and resources to be fully prepared to lead out kids and help develop their influence
- Identify high capacity leaders and utilize their gifts within the ministry
- Train and disciple leaders in the areas of spiritual growth, competencies, and leadership
- Care for Kids Crossing Volunteers
- Partner with the Kids Crossing Team to plan, coordinate and manage K-5 camp
- Partner with The Early Childhood lead for Kinder transition
- Identify and engage young Activators
Curriculum & Content
- Partner with Next Gen leadership to create and develop Sunday elements that complement curriculum and create memorable takeaways and application
- Implement vision of Orange Strategy to volunteers, parents and kids
- Use Orange curriculum as a guide to oversee and develop relevant weekend curriculum (Propresenter, Host, Teach, Game Scripts and Small Groups)
- Lead as one of the primary teachers and communicators
Foster Culture
- Develop and build a culture of community, consistency, and excitement for all students and leaders at the Windmill, Midtown and Highlands Campuses
- In collaboration with the Next Gen team, uphold and lead out the safety & security policies and procedures for Kids Crossing
- Keep ministry environments clean and well stocked with needed supplies
- Identify and celebrate “wins” with kids and leaders
General
- Organize workflow and synchronize between Planning Center, Google Workspace, Rock and other collaborative technology platforms as needed
- Other related duties as needed
What you’ll bring to the team
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma
- Minimum Experience: One year in a full-time related position in an equivalent church setting
- Demonstrates strong leadership ability and a positive, Godly influence to kids and the next generation
- Demonstrates strong technology experience (Propresenter, Gmail, Google Docs, Asana, Rock, etc.)
- Preferred Education: A bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university
- Preferred Experience: Three years of full-time work on the kids team in an equivalent church setting or non-profit organization
- Must pass a pre-employment background check
- Proof of legal authorization to work in the United States
