University Business Administrators - College of Social Work
Responsibilities
This position serves as the primary human resources departmental transactional representative for the College of Social Work (CSW). Responsibilities include the day-to-day administration including submission, tracking, and completion of human resources actions.
- Responsible for Human Resource transactional functions for the College of Social Work. Processes personnel actions including courtesy appointments, recruiting, hiring, new employee paperwork, I-9 submissions, job opening packets, position description changes/updates, terminations and semesterly appointment updates. Ensures performance evaluations are done timely. Helps coordinates family medical leave, workers compensation and assists supervisor with preparation of job descriptions for review. Maintains departmental personnel files in compliance with Federal, State, and University laws, policies, and guidelines. Holds a State of Florida Notary for the college.
- Ensures a sound environment of internal controls and compliance by monitoring and reviewing Human Resources transactional processes. Monitors and tracks HR transactions. Assists with regular workflow status updates and advises staff and supervisors regarding the status of human resources transactions. Serves as a resource person and quality control check point for human resources actions initiated by supervisors. Serves as a resource for CSW employees. Interprets University policies and provides recommendations based on college knowledge for business administrative objectives and activities. Communicates policies and best practices procedures to administrators, faculty, staff, and students. Confers with FSU Human Resources, as necessary.
- Oversees the time and leave process for the College of Social Work. Monitors the weekly time entry status and assists with the facilitation of corresponding employee-supervisor time entry, review, and approval process to ensure accuracy and compliance with University standards. Uses myFSU Business Intelligence (BI) to cyclically generate HR actives and cost center reports to reconcile appointments and compensation levels. Prepares payroll certification document and actives report for management review.
- Provides human resource data for special projects and reports, including but not limited to Council on Social Work Education and re-accreditation. Assists with monitoring internal administrative policies and procedures and recommends guidelines for improved effectiveness, as necessary. Responsible for the AOR and FACETS process for the College of Social Work.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalency and four years experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to four years.

- Ability to handle confidential matters discreetly.
- Ability to efficiently multitask and prioritize tasks.
