IXL Learning, developer of personalized learning products used by millions of people globally, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Production Designer to join our Print & Instruction team. In this role, you will own file quality and deliverables for print educational materials for IXL. Your knowledge of and experience with digital and offset printing processes and print-industry standards, along with attention to detail, visual eye, and commitment to quality, will make personalized learning a reality for millions of students.
This is a full-time position in our Raleigh, NC area office. The work schedule for this role is Monday-Friday in the office with the option to work from home one day per week.

What You'll Be Doing
- Set up InDesign file templates and review initial InDesign files for proper file structure and settings
- Maintain a production checklist and communicate file standards with our team of freelance graphic designers
- Field production-related questions from graphic designers and curriculum designers
- Make minor updates to files and output new versions of PDFs
- Check files and troubleshoot preflight errors before sending books to domestic and international professional printers
- Archive final files, making sure all assets are packaged correctly, adhere to naming conventions and file structure, and contain no duplicate files
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 3 years of pre-publishing work experience; work experience with a printer is preferred
- Expert-level knowledge of InDesign and Adobe Acrobat Pro (including preflight profiles and PDF export settings)
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to effectively communicate visually, verbally, and in writing
- Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously
