Responsibilities
- Quoting & Pre-Sales Support: Collaborate with account managers to prepare accurate quotes before order confirmation.
- Accurate Data Entry & Order Processing: Input and maintain customer orders in the ERP, ensuring product specifications, quantities, pricing, and delivery requirements are correctly recorded.
- Customer Communication & Phone Reception: Serve as the first point of contact by answering phone calls, responding to inquiries, and directing calls to appropriate departments.
- Product & System Knowledge: Understand the company's product offerings, including steel types, and stay updated on ERP systems and tools.
- Review & Edit Data: Regularly review processes and discuss with management about updating existing data to maintain data integrity.
- Documentation Management & Reporting: Prepare and manage all relevant documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Problem Resolution & Quality Control: Address issues during order processing and collaborate with internal teams to resolve problems.
- Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other departments to align on customer requirements.
- Compliance & Industry Standards: Ensure all orders meet company standards and customer specifications.
- Continuous Improvement: Seek ways to improve data entry, order processing, and office workflows.
- CAD Duties: Assist with CAD-related tasks, such as updating drawings or generating basic layouts.
- Perform Other Related Duties as Assigned: Flexibly assist with other tasks or special projects as required by management.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independantly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Proficiency in using a computer, basic email functions, Teams, and Excel.
- Ability to type at least 60 words per minute (WPM) preferred.
- Mechanical or engineering mindset a plus.
- Ability to read and decipher prints preferred.
