Position Title: Vice President of Education Department: Research Education Quality (REQ) Report To: President/Chief Operating Officer (COO) FLSA: Exempt Position Summary: The Vice President of Education is a senior executive responsible for leading the strategic vision, development, and execution of all education, training, and clinical quality programs for neurotechnologists. Reporting directly to the President/COO, this role oversees the design, implementation, and continuous advancement of foundational and advanced training pathways, clinical mentorship, CEU development, and integrated clinical support. The VP of Education is pivotal in promoting a culture of continuous learning, clinical excellence, and regulatory compliance while aligning training strategies with differentiated clinical service models and quality assurance initiatives, including internal audits and performance benchmarking. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership in Education & Quality
- Establish and lead the strategic vision for neurotechnologist education, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and evolving clinical demands.
- Oversee the development and delivery of structured fellowship programs, onboarding boot camps, CNIM board preparation, and advanced training modules.
- Ensure integration of quality standards, regulatory requirements, and evidence-based practice into all training curricula.
- Champion continuing education initiatives and CEU development, maintaining accreditation and promoting lifelong learning.
- Trainee & Mentor Oversight
- Supervise all trainee programs, ensuring rigorous, competency-based learning and assessment at every stage of professional development.
- Oversee clinical mentors' recruitment, development, and evaluation, establishing a mentorship framework that supports individualized growth and clinical mastery.
- Clinical Integration, Support & Differentiated Service
- Direct in-theatre clinical training and competency validation, ensuring safe, high-quality care across varying surgical complexity levels.
- Promote differentiated clinical service strategies by aligning education with surgical acuity tiers, risk profiles, and evolving monitoring technologies.
- Guide the development of specialized skill tracks and advanced clinical roles to support high-risk procedures and complex service lines.
- Quality & Clinical Auditing Leadership
- Lead the clinical audit function to assess protocol adherence, identify performance gaps, and recommend corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the Quality team on adverse event reviews and root cause analyses, incorporating findings into education and remediation plans.
- Use audit and clinical quality data to drive continuous improvement across training programs and clinical operations.
- Program & Content Development
- Create and maintain high-impact training materials, learning modules, and educational tools in collaboration with clinical, quality, and education stakeholders.
- Oversee the scheduling and coordination of training activities, including interviews, boot camps, clinical rotations, and board exam prep.
- Performance Analytics & Reporting
- Define, track, and analyze KPIs for education, clinical quality, and program effectiveness.
