The Town of Brookline is seeking full-time Lead Teachers to join our vibrant Early Education Program at the Soule Early Childhood Center, a beautiful facility featuring spacious indoor and outdoor play areas designed to inspire young learners.
We are looking for dedicated educators to lead toddler and preschool classrooms (ages 15 months to 5 years). If you’re passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment that helps children thrive cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically, this is the role for you!

- Lead your classroom in planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Build meaningful connections with children, families, and your team
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning space for young children
- Observe and assess child development; conduct parent-teacher conferences twice per year
- Collaborate with fellow educators, attend team meetings, and mentor classroom staff
- Take part in ongoing training and professional development
- Support toilet training, positive behavior guidance, and early learning best practices
- EEC Lead Teacher certification required
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience as an Early Childhood Educator or equivalent combination of education and experience (Associate’s degree or higher preferred)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- CPR and First Aid certification required
- Passion for child development, play-based learning, and supporting families
