
Custodian

Saint Mary custodians are essential employees who perform a wide variety of custodial duties and
related work as required under general supervision.

Our Ideal Candidate’s Education and Experience Include:
- Required: High school diploma or equivalent; one year of commercial cleaning experience.
- Preferred: At least one year of cleaning experience in a school or university setting.
This Position’s Responsibilities Include:
- Clean and dust a variety of areas which may include conference rooms, offices, classrooms,
gymnasiums, stairways, corridors and elevators on a daily basis.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain restrooms and showers.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, scrub, wax, shampoo, strip, refinish and spot clean carpeting and hard
- Clean glass, chalkboards, display cases, interior partitions and light fixtures which are reachable
- Empty trash from receptacles and place in dumpsters.
Physical Demands
- Considerable physical exertion with extensive standing or walking; Must be able to stand, lift,
perception, with or without corrective lenses; Ability to occasionally lift pounds.
