Agape Child & Family Services is seeking a Chief Program Officer (CPO) to join our Executive Team. The CPO will oversee the development, implementation, and management of all client-facing programs and interventions for the agency. Responsibilities And Duties

  • Oversee the coordination, integration, and delivery of all client-facing programs and related services through a two-generation/whole family place-based platform, promoting collaborative relationships between programs and ensuring the expectations of funders, partners, clients, and other stakeholders are consistently met.
  • Provide programmatic leadership and input to the President/CEO, Executive Team, Board of Directors, and staff.
  • Ensure the ongoing analysis and assessment of programs and services based on data collected and implement corrective measures if required.
  • Work closely with the President/CEO, CFO, and Chief Development Officer to develop program-specific and annual programs department budgets.
  • Ensure communication with program leadership to support sound fiscal management with budgetary constraints across all programs.
  • Coordinate with the Development Department in the preparation of public and private grant applications and work closely to coordinate program goals and explore funding opportunities to optimize program expansion.
  • Assist in the development of assessment protocols to determine the feasibility and sustainability of programs as well as lead to more effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Conduct ongoing evaluation of staffing plans to achieve program goals and objectives and participate in hiring decisions for new program staff.
  • Lead, examine, and facilitate the timely submission of program reports in compliance with contract specifications.
  • Maintain positive and effective relationships and communication with Agape staff.
  • Serve as an advocate for Agape Child & Family Services and the communities we serve.
  • Provide leadership to direct reports.
  • Will perform all other duties within the general scope of this position, as requested by the President/CEO.

Additional Qualifications

  • Possess extensive knowledge of whole family program service and delivery.
  • Expertise in developing policy and standards for program operations.
  • Comprehensive working knowledge of program planning, organizational structure, budgeting, administrative operations, and fundraising.
  • Possess a strong business acumen with the understanding and ability to effectively manage finances, budgets, and complex funding.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect an ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly.
  • Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with various individuals and cross-functional teams.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills, with the ability to think creatively, critically, and strategically to synthesize and solve complex problems.
  • Strong ability to foster team member compliance with organizational policies and performance objectives.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, and climbing stairs within schools and community sites.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at a time.

Starting Salary Range: $135,000 - $150,000. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Master’s degree in social work, public administration, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university. The ideal candidate must have at least 10 years of demonstrated high-level leadership success in developing and implementing human services programs with proven experience in program development, contract administration, fiscal management, human capital management, and strategic planning for a comparable or larger organization. Experience in the nonprofit sector is preferred. The ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial, future-leaning, and innovative mindset. Demonstrated computer proficiency, including the use of Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications essential to this position. Must have an automobile available for business use and maintain a current driver's license and current auto insurance with acceptable levels of coverage. Will be required to work a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends as needed. Candidate must be willing to engage in Agape's Performance Quality and Improvement (also known as Continuous Quality Improvement) standards of quality & excellence.
