Key Responsibilities

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Lead all manufacturing operations across multiple production cells and shifts, ensuring delivery on performance, safety, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Partner cross-functionally with Planning, Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, and CI to drive seamless execution.
  • Own Tier 2 and Tier 3 production meeting structure and ensure meaningful escalation and follow-through on issues.

Performance & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion Lean manufacturing across the site; embed structured problem-solving and visual management into daily operations.
  • Drive accountability for attainment to plan, yield, labor efficiency, and downtime reduction.
  • Lead strategic improvement projects, capacity reviews, and shift structure optimization.

Team Development & Culture

  • Develop and coach frontline leaders and production managers across all shifts.
  • Build a culture that prioritizes safety, quality, and team ownership.
  • Lead with energy, urgency, and transparency—acting as a visible and motivating presence across the plant.

Planning & Execution

  • Collaborate with the Director of Operations Planning to align schedules, staffing, and resources.
  • Anticipate constraints and proactively adjust plans to meet customer and business needs.

Metrics & Reporting

  • Monitor key operational KPIs and prepare data-driven updates for executive reviews.
  • Ensure timely issue resolution and root cause identification with clear corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership, ideally in a multi-shift, process-based environment.
  • Strong background in Lean manufacturing, with proven CI success.
  • Ability to lead change, influence cross-functional teams, and build strong followership.
  • Analytical, hands-on, and able to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

Physical Requirements: Required to sit, stand, walk, bend, and reach. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Working Conditions: Exposure to a normal office environment. Position may occasionally require entering a production environment, including exposure to noise, fumes, moving machinery, and varied temperatures.
