Corporate Finance Intern

Classification: Part-time, Hourly, Non-Exempt

Compensation: $15 - $18 Per hour

Office Hours: Monday - Friday (9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

Duration: ~12 week internship, will end at the end of Summer

Position Summary: Redstone is a mid-market owner/operator of student and conventional housing. We are a fast-growing company with ambitious goals. We are looking for a Corporate Finance intern to assist in financial modeling, dashboarding, and reporting. This position will be responsible for creating divisional reporting templates, creating budgets and forecasts, improving reporting efficiencies with dashboards and other visualizations, and using data to drive decision making. Interns will be an integral part of the team and will work closely with finance and accounting to achieve expected results.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Assist the finance team in creating new divisional reporting templates.
• Help with financial modeling and analysis for monthly reporting, forecasts, and budgets.
• Organize and present data to the finance team as part of monthly and quarterly reporting.
• Make recommendations to the finance team based on analysis and data trends.
• Complete ad-hoc projects for the finance team.
• Develop dashboards or visualizations in Excel or other tools to improve reporting efficiency and clarity.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure consistency and accuracy in reported financial data.
• Conduct market or peer research to support financial assumptions and strategic planning.
  
  

Experience And Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in finance, accounting, or business
• Understanding of income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
• Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
• Strong communication skills
• High School Diploma or equivalent
