Key Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, and repair pipes, fittings, and fixtures per plumbing codes and specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints to determine the layout of plumbing systems.
- Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe using hand and power tools.
- Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
- Locate and mark pipe positions and fixture locations in structures.
- Conduct pressure tests to identify leaks and ensure quality installations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area and work vehicle.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Perform preventive maintenance on tools and ensure safe equipment conditions.
- May assist in the supervision of apprentices as needed.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver's license.
- Completion of at least 1 year of field experience (Level 1) or 4+ years (Level 2).
- Strong understanding of plumbing concepts, codes, and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints.
- Comfortable using a variety of hand and power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team, under supervision or with autonomy depending on experience level.
