Responsibilities Include (but Are Not Limited To)
- Lead installation of HVAC systems (residential and light commercial) including furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini-splits, and ductwork.
- Interpret and apply building and HVAC codes during all installations.
- Supervise and mentor installation apprentices and junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation of installations and communicate effectively with project managers and clients.
- Conduct start-ups and testing to ensure systems operate per specifications.
- Maintain a clean, organized job site and vehicle.
- Communicate professionally with customers to explain work performed and answer any questions.
- Uphold safety standards and ensure proper use of PPE at all times.
- Identify opportunities for additional services and products; participate in sales promotions and accessory sales for additional commission.
- 5+ years of hands-on HVAC installation experience preferred.
- Illinois EPA Certification required.
- Technical school graduates preferred.
- Strong knowledge of residential and light commercial HVAC systems.
- Ability to read blueprints, wiring diagrams, and specifications.
- Skilled in troubleshooting and system start-up procedures.
- Working on ladders, lifts, and at heights safely.
- Lifting 50+lbs and working in various conditions.
- Leadership skills with the ability to train and guide junior team members.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
