The FORMULA 1 HEINEKEN LAS VEGAS GRAND PRIX has rapidly become a world-class event in its first two years. This three-day spectacle attracts a global audience to witness the world's greatest drivers and cars navigate the iconic Las Vegas Strip at breathtaking speeds approaching 200 mph.

Summary Of Job

As part of the newly formed Procurement team, this position will collaborate with department leaders and suppliers, tender and contract supplier agreements, maintain the integrity of the procurement process and administer the procurement system.

Essential Functions (include Without Limitation)

  • Develop effective relationships and collaborative working styles with key stakeholders, including department leaders, Finance and Legal.
  • Support the business in drafting specifications and ensure the final product is clear, unambiguous, and meaningful to the marketplace.
  • Running the end-to-end Procurement Cycle including the preparation of (RFx) pretender, tender documents, tender execution and contract award and subsequent contract management.
  • Ensure best value for Las Vegas Grand Prix with robust terms & conditions that manages the company’s risk appropriately and are in alignment with business needs.
  • Support the business in managing supplier performance and collaborate with suppliers to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to Procurement’s Supply Risk Register and ensure that risk mitigation strategies are applied to all sourcing decisions.
  • Manage the completion and accuracy of the Contracts Register for all Work In Progress projects and contract renewals / expiries.
  • Own the verification process of all Purchase Order Requisition’s (POR) and ensure that the departments are compliant in their requests.
  • Undertake diligence on new suppliers and complete the supplier on-boarding processes.
  • To undertake other duties within your capabilities as assigned to you from time to time.

Preferred Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, business, finance, or a related field.
  • Certification as a Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (MCIPS), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Certified Procurement Professional (CPP) highly desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years procurement experience at a senior level position within a demanding environment. Sports & entertainment or live entertainment background is desirable.
  • Experience of managing contracts across direct and indirect categories. Experience in hospitality, construction, staffing/contingent labor, event and facility services, MRO is desirable.
  • Experience of setting up, managing, Framework agreements & Statement of Works.
  • Working knowledge of P2P systems (implementation experience a plus).
  • Ability to draft and negotiate strong contracts to meet business needs & objectives including KPIs, SLAs and any additional relevant performance tracking requirements.
  • Exposure to an events / operations environment preferable.
  • Excellent communication with strong written and presentation skills, an engaging style, and ability to demonstrate gravitas when discussing complex projects.
  • Experience of generating fact-based insights through analysis using tools and techniques to provide strategic direction, and to be able to present to stakeholders where required.
  • Ability to influence and drive behavioral change both internally and throughout the supply chain.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, up to C Suite, and ability to challenge difficult stakeholders when appropriate.
  • Ability to make well-informed decisions and exercise good judgment and discretion in a fast-paced environment and in a variety of situations, including in the absence of express direction.
  • Work under pressure, both independently and in collaboration with others, in order to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, and Outlook, preferred.
  • Ability to quickly understand and comply with Company policies, procedures and practices, maintaining confidentiality and strong ethical standards.
