POSITION SUMMARY: Patient Support Specialists provide direct support within a dedicated surgical clinic office, performing administrative and clinical functions. Daily tasks include those in support of technicians, opticians, and patient services representatives. Specific assignments will be dependent upon workload and staff availability.

Education And/Or Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Previous experience in optometry or ophthalmology is preferred.
  
  

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA Guidelines)

• Physical Activity: Talking, Hearing.
• Physical requirements: Sedentary work. Involves sitting most of the time.
• The worker is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned.
