As the Director, Continuous Improvement, you'll lead the enterprise-wide strategy to enhance productivity and process efficiency, leveraging a blend of top-down and bottom-up approaches. In this role, you'll identify opportunities to improve engineered labor standards, drive year-over-year productivity and EBITDA growth, and manage KPIs and reporting systems to track progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement programs that drive EBITDA growth by improving process efficiency, reducing operating expenses, enhancing product quality and consistency, increasing safety, and simplifying store operations.
  • Lead collaboration with the Store Manager Advisory Board to establish two-way communication on initiatives. Identify opportunities to enhance engineered labor standards and operational efficiency by challenging existing processes and eliminating non-value-added activities.
  • Oversee workforce management, including labor budgeting and optimization of labor management systems. Streamline scheduling processes to reduce administrative workload and boost labor efficiency in stores.
  • Deliver measurable solutions through successful implementation and adoption of process and technology improvements. Conduct post-implementation reviews to refine future initiatives.
  • Partner with stakeholders as a subject matter expert in continuous improvement. Facilitate change management and CI initiatives across diverse audiences using proven methodologies.
  • Responsible for hiring, training, salary administration, performance management, coaching and corrective actions for direct reports. Responsible for collaborating with team members on career development and goal setting. Act as a champion of a committed and empowering culture, working with direct reports and team members on modeling Casey’s values.

Compensation

Starting pay range:‏‏‎ ‎$128,700‏‏‎ ‎-‏‏‎ ‎$175,500.‏‏‎ ‎Actual pay may vary based on Casey’s assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, and qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include local prevailing wages and internal equity. This position is eligible for an annual cash bonus based on company performance and an annual equity grant in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs). Our full salary range for this role does extend beyond the hiring range listed, allowing team members the opportunity to continue to grow within the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required, in business, industrial engineering, business administration, or a related field. Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
  • At least 10 years of work-related experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification with demonstrated hands-on experience in applying its methodologies.
  • Proven track record in leading continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
  • Experience in retail operations management and/or managing time and labor systems within a retail environment.
  • Work is performed in an office setting and throughout all regions in which Casey's operates. Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the physical ability to drive a vehicle for job related travel.
