JOB SUMMARY
Kutak Rock seeks an Administrative Support Specialist in its Omaha office. This position provides flexible, cross-functional support to the Information Security & Privacy Counsel and to the Conflicts and Matter Opening Team, within the Office of the General Counsel. This position assists with workload management, providing support during high-volume periods, employee absences, or special projects. The Specialist will have familiarity with and participate in the workflows ensuring department tasks are processed timely and efficiently, with a focus on client service. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual who enjoys working in a collegial and collaborative environment
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain familiarity with the workflows for client assessments, vendor vetting, outside counsel guidelines reviews, conflict checks, and new matter intakes
- Provide administrative and project-based support for the Information Security & Privacy Counsel as needed
- Aid in the collection and organization of data for internal and external information security and privacy-related reporting requirements
- Help monitor deadlines, track deliverables, and follow up on assigned action items
- Collaborate with the Client Services Manager to support departmental needs
- Assist with maintaining and updating departmental recordkeeping systems to ensure all documentation is current and easily accessible
- Assist in the implementation of new technologies to support departmental workflows
- Understand key privacy, security, conflicts, and client imperatives relevant to Office of the General Counsel workflows
- Provide flexible support across teams as needed
- Ensure accurate, thorough, and timely work product
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless coverage of work during absences
- Other duties as needed

- High school diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree, Associate’s degree, or equivalent work-related experience preferred
- One to five years of related work experience – law firm experience a plus
