Overview

Join CoGrader, a rapidly growing AI EdTech startup backed by UC Berkeley, as our Founding team in Sales. You'll work directly with the CEO to drive our 30% month-over-month growth, manage our sales pipeline, and help transform how teachers grade — saving them thousands of hours while improving student outcomes.

  • Location: Remote (Preferred: FL, TX, CA, NYC)
  • Type: Full-time | AI EdTech SaaS | Early-stage equity
  • Experience: 2+ years selling K12 SaaS literacy products to Directors of Curriculum, proven sales numbers (quotas)
  • Impact: Help scale a solution used by tens of thousands of teachers, serving over half a million students
  • Compensation: $60k base + uncapped commission + early-stage equity


What You'll Do

Own the Sales Process (80%)

  • Drive our sales pipeline from lead to close, test and iterate on different sales motions
  • Run our sales playbook for bottom-up approaches
    • Build strategies to turn teacher champions into school-wide adoptions
    • Schedule and lead demos with teachers and school administrators
  • Build our sales playbook for top-down approaches
    • Contact schools where teachers use CoGrader’s free version
    • Generate admin leads top down
  • Create marketing & sales assets
  • Manage our CRM and sales tools
  • Hit quarterly revenue targets

Operate Customer Success (20%)

  • Drive renewals, reviewing price, and cross-selling
  • Expand within existing accounts to add more schools
  • Build referral programs to leverage happy customers
  • Increase usage in schools, through successful training and customer onboarding, leading to teacher/user retention
  • Collect and synthesize customer feedback to inform product development

  • Are native-fluent in English; US-based or a US expat is preferred
  • Are excited about transforming education with AI
  • Have 2–6+ years in K12 EdTech SaaS sales, with experience selling to curriculum leaders
  • Have a track record of exceeding targets
  • Are highly organized and process-oriented
  • Are proactive and thrive with autonomy
  • Have exceptional communication skills
  • Are a GenAI power user
  • Are scrappy, driven, and comfortable selling in ambiguity with high autonomy
  • Are looking for a founding team role with equity and major career upside


Bonus Points For

  • Many years selling selling to US K12 Directors of Curriculum or similar
  • Are based in or have sold into Florida, Texas, California, or New York City
  • Background as an English teacher or admin (eg principal, curriculum director)
  • Previously worked at companies like Nearpod, Newsela, Pear Deck, Edpuzzle, Writable, NoRedInk, Seesaw, ClassDojo, Brisk Teaching, SchoolAI, Khanmigo, Diffit, Formative, Quizizz, Kami, Turnitin, or similar
