- SUMMARY**: The person in this position maintains, repairs, rebuilds, diagnoses, corrects malfunctions and assembles automotive equipment. He/she does minor body work and painting. This employee will perform roadside automotive repairs, welding, burning and brazing as necessary and performs other duties of this position as directed.

- Completely maintain, repair, rebuild, diagnose, correct malfunctions and assemble automotive equipment. Determine usefulness of work parts.
- Maintain related records.
- Do minor body work and painting.
- Perform roadside automotive repair.
- Perform welding, burning and brazing as necessary.
- Work from drawings, wiring diagrams, oral and written instructions.
- Keep garage clean and in orderly condition.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma
- Three years of experience as a journeyman mechanic in the automotive gas, truck, diesel maintenance field
