Summary
Electronics technicians are responsible for adjusting, repairing, installing, modifying, debugging and maintaining control systems, and electrical/electronic systems and equipment for production equipment and facilities.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Electronics technicians are responsible for adjusting, repairing, installing, modifying, debugging and maintaining control systems, and electrical/electronic systems and equipment for production equipment and facilities.
Essential Functions
- Electrical – (maintain, install, repair and adjust electrical and electronic control systems and equipment that provide power and or control to production equipment and facilities):
- Troubleshoots electrical and electronic malfunctions using test instruments/equipment and hand tools including ammeters, voltmeters, ohmmeters, oscilloscopes, laptops, etc.
- This position works directly with the Maintenance organization as well as assisting the Engineering Department.
- Knowledge of electrical systems (PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC Drives, AC/DC motors, motor-generators, PCs, hydraulic and pneumatic controls, relay logic, etc.), as well as excellent computer skills (AutoCad, Word, Excel, Windows, etc.).
- Shift work is required.
- Candidate should also possess good communication and interpersonal skills, in addition to good time management skills.
- Performs work with a minimum of direction and often works alone or with maintenance personnel on the off shifts.
- May direct the work of less skilled personnel as assigned.
- Safety (take responsibility for and demonstrate safe work practices):
- Adheres to plant and department safety rules.
- Safely operates all equipment and tools.
- Identifies and reports safety problems, corrects when possible.
- Accomplishes all tasks as appropriate.
- Follows up on problems that were not addressed on the previous shift.
- Completes shift logs and updates documentation as necessary.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology, Advanced Manufacturing Technology or equivalent required. 3 - 5 years technical experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must have a knack at solving problems and coming up with the best solutions.
- Must have PLC programming experience.
