Job Title: System Area Lead

Location: Onsite - Beverly, MA Headquarters

Position Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Contract Specialist to support our Legal and Commercial Operations teams in managing the review, negotiation, and execution of contracts, including MSAs, NDAs, SOWs, and vendor agreements. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of legal and commercial terms, especially in the context of life sciences, biotech, or technology industries.

Duties And Responsibilities

  • Salaried position
  • System Supervisors, Lead Techs, and System Techs I, II, and III report to this position.
  • Responsible for keeping the systems manufacturing area running smoothly, ensuring projects are on schedule, and providing corrective actions when projects are at risk.
  • Responsible for filling the upcoming work schedule with individual techs.
  • Work with the Production Scheduling Manager on resourcing projects and providing build estimates as needed.
  • Approving timecards, PTO, expense reports, etc.
  • Attend stand-up, team, pre-build, and post-build meetings.
  • Travel 10% of the time.
  • Support the Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager in tracking toward Operations KPIs.
  • Establish a System Manufacturing KPI list and review it with the Senior Manufacturing Operations Manager.
  • Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
  • Giving feedback to techs on all techs' workmanship.
  • Ensure Supervisors maintain a clean and organized work cell at the end of the day.
  • Work with System Supervisors to maintain shop floor cleanliness – toolboxes are closed, and tools are put away. Leftover pallets/boxes are thrown away; ensure there are no trip hazards and that all benches are clean.
  • Work with System Supervisors to ensure whiteboards are up to date with the latest data.
  • Checking project status emails and Jira reports. Be proactive in solving issues on the production floor.
  • Maintaining a safe work environment.
  • Reporting accidents and near misses.
  • Order floor stock material.
  • Maintains a high level of discipline regarding technical knowledge and capability.
  • Making sure all techs follow written procedures and that those procedures are always visible on the monitors while work is being performed.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities are required. Must have the flexibility to re-prioritize tasks as needs change.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of company products and procedures.
  • Reviews and approves all manufacturing records.
  • Must have knowledge of methods and equipment and be trained in equipment and processes in the area.
  • Must be able to communicate appropriately in written and oral forms.
  • Maintains quality by enforcing organizational standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 10+ years of proven manufacturing experience.
  • Can-do attitude, strong initiative, highly collaborative, and accountable.
  • Must possess the ability to multitask and react quickly and professionally in high-stress situations.
  • Strong ability to motivate team members.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, oral, and written communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to understand the role in the overall business process and appropriately support all organizations. Ability to seek a team approach.
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office Applications, including Project, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and MRP/ERP systems.
  • ISO9001 experience a plus.
  • Ability to set direction, make decisions, and oversee operations with little to no direct supervision.
  • Willingness to contribute outside of the job description when necessary.
